Ugh not Hug

Performance artist Marina Abramovic (The Artist Is Present) has just surpassed her original $600,000 Kickstarter goal by raising $661,454 from 4,765 contributors. The funds are to be put toward converting a 29,000-square-foot former theater in Hudson, NY, into a center*. As gratitude for their contributions, Ms. Abramovic has promised to hug each of the 4,765 donors.

If this was a movie it would be a 4,765 second montage documentary entitled: The Artist is Presently Learning the Importance of Anti-Bacterial Hand Gel.

Don’t Be Loopy

Elon Musk (the famed entrepreneur, not a circa ’85 drug store cologne) has hypothetically proposed the Hyperloop, a train that could get passengers from San Francisco to Los Angeles in 30 minutes. 30. Which means they’d be traveling at a speed of 800 miles per hour.

If this was a movie, it would be 1970s Charlton Heston / Faye Dunaway top billing disaster flick just waiting to happen. Either that or a Tara Reid Syfy follow-up called Shark Train.
